Dry eye disease is a condition in which the eyes do not produce enough tears, or the quality of tears is insufficient to adequately lubricate and protect the ocular surface and cornea. This condition can occur in people of all ages and genders and may have multiple causes.

OPE® IPL (Optimal Power Energy Intense Pulsed Light) is an advanced technology used to treat chronic dry eye disease caused by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), which is the most common cause of chronic dry eye.
Normally, the Meibomian glands—located along the eyelid margins—produce oils (lipids) that coat the tear film and prevent excessive tear evaporation. When these glands become blocked or dysfunctional, they are unable to secrete sufficient oil. As a result, tears evaporate too quickly, leading to dry eye symptoms.
OPE® IPL emits light energy at a wavelength of 600 nanometers (nm), which can be used to treat dry eye disease, blepharitis, styes, and related eyelid conditions. The device features a rapid cooling system and an intelligent skin-tone sensor that automatically adjusts the energy level for patient safety.
With this advanced system, no cooling gel is required prior to treatment, making the procedure more convenient, faster, and environmentally friendly by reducing gel waste.
Patients with chronic dry eye caused by Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD)
Patients diagnosed with dry eye disease by an ophthalmologist and considered suitable for IPL treatment
Patients with bacterial eyelid inflammation (blepharitis)
Avoid direct sunlight exposure to the treated area for approximately 1 week.
Use prescribed eye drops and medications strictly as directed by the ophthalmologist to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
If abnormal symptoms occur—such as redness, irritation, excessive tearing, unusual light sensitivity, excessive discharge, or severe eye pain—please contact your ophthalmologist immediately.
Eyelid spa or lid massage is a procedure that cleanses and gently massages the eyelids to remove debris and unblock the Meibomian glands along the eyelid margins and eyelash roots. This helps relieve dry eye symptoms, irritation, and gland obstruction.
Warm Compress
Applied for approximately 10 minutes to open the gland orifices and soften the blocked oils.
Eyelid Massage
Gentle massage using a glass rod along the direction of the Meibomian glands on both the upper and lower eyelids to express the trapped oils.
Eyelid Cleansing
Cleaning the eyelids and eyelashes with a mild cleansing foam, rinsing the eyes with normal saline, and applying artificial tears to enhance eye moisture.
Reduces dry eye symptoms
Promotes relaxation
Removes debris, blockages, and Demodex mites, which can cause eyelid inflammation and infection
Clears oil blockages in the Meibomian glands
Improves eyelid hygiene and supports healthy gland function
